-two letters exchanged between David Piper, National Portrait Gallery and Nicolson, dated 28 & 30 May 1958, concerning the attribution of pictures belonging to William Dugdale
-nineteen letters exchanged between staff at Chambers's Encyclopaedia and Nicolson, dated 15 September 1960-17 September 1962, concerning a revision of the publication, in particular Nicolson's entries on Berenson & Cezanne. Also includes Nicolson's draft entries for Caravaggio and Vermeer.
-three letters exchanged between Captain Everard Radcliffe, Tony Ellis of the Bowes Museum and Nicolson, dated 2-12 June 1964, concerning the attribution of pictures at Rudding Park. Also includes a guidebook for Rudding Park.
-five letters exchanged between Alastair Smart, Nottingham University; Terence Mullaly; G.Hughes Hartman, Sotheby's; and Nicolson, dated 4 January-13 February 1968, concerning the attribution of pictures at Locko Park
