| Admin/Biog History | A Rowlandson Symposium (sometimes referred to as a seminar or festival) was held at Boston Public Library in May 1973. The symposium was to include public lectures by Hayes, Draper Hill, Robert Wark and Ronald Paulson, alongside an opportunity to see original drawings by Rowlandson. There were also talks aimed at collectors, dealers, curators and teachers with an interest in Rowlandson, as well as outings to see Rowlandson drawings at Harvard and the Boston Museum of Fine Art.
A publication entitled 'A Rowlandson Festival' was planned following the Symposium but it was never completed.
