| Description | This file contains assorted research notes primarily on particular works by Sutherland, but also includes some additional research on interviews and archival sources in which Sutherland had discussed his works and general artistic process.
Some of the notes on individual works formed part of the research for Hayes' 1980 monograph on Sutherland (see: JTH/2/5), such as the tapestry in Coventry Cathedral, 'Christ in glory in the tetramorph', and various works in private collections in Italy.
The material in this file is as it was kept by Hayes and thus reflects his own system of filing for his research material.
