These appear to have been sent to Hayes in batches of nine or ten, often with lists of abbreviations and a bibliography, and occasionally a brief letter or notes from Belsey to Hayes outlining which entries he is sending. Hayes had stored the entries in these groupings of nine or ten, and so the material here has been kept in these same groupings.
