Admin/Biog HistoryStamp was invited to give the keynote lecture at the National Trust of Australia (NSW) Interwar House and Suburb seminar, 26-27 Mar 1998. His lecture was titled 'The Castles on the Ground: Inter-War Domestic Architecture in the United Kingdom'. This was the first time he visited Australia and he toured the country delivering talks and lectures organised by the National Trust and Historic Houses Trust. He visited the following places: Sydney, Victoria, Queensland, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane.
DescriptionThis file includes extensive correspondence and itineraries relating to Stamp's visit to Australia, 24 Mar-7 Apr 1998. It also includes a handout provided at the Interwar House and Suburb seminar with copies of lectures given included.

Also includes correspondence from John Hitch, dated 26 Mar-15 Jun 1998, concerning his working partnership with architect George Gaze Pace.
