Admin/Biog HistoryThroughout his career Stamp delivered many lectures about architecture, and architectural history, in particular after leaving the Mackintosh School of Architecture in 2003, when he was working as an independent scholar. Stamp was often approached by colleagues, local history groups, and various societies to lecture at events and conferences, on various architectural themes, or to discuss his recent publications. Whilst some lecture texts are complete scripts, Stamp sometimes only relied on brief lecture notes to guide him.

The lectures in this series were all conducted in a freelance capacity and do not include lectures delivered by Stamp in his role at the Mackintosh School of Architecture.
DescriptionThe material in this series includes:

-lecture texts
-lecture notes
-lists of images and slides
-correspondence
-publicity material, eg. flyers and posters

Some lectures do not have lecture texts, where this is the case it has been noted in the file description. In some instances the only evidence that a lecture may have taken place is indicated through correspondence, or publicity material. In such cases it has not always been possible to identify the title of the lecture, but the date, and organisers or location have been noted in the file description.
