DescriptionThe correspondence in this sub-series concerns Stamp's role within the Thirties Society, and the Society's work and administration.

The original order of the correspondence was very chaotic, therefore uring the cataloguing it was arranged chronologically. It is clear that this series is not comprehensive, and does not include all the correspondence received by Stamp, as such it is best viewed alongside the corresponding dates in the sub-series GMS/2/1/1, Casework and campaign files & GMS/2/1/2,Thirties Society Journal, for a fuller picture of the activities being under taken by Stamp, within the Society.

The correspondence is varied in content and concerns the following:

-the society's finances, governance and staffing
-planning for events and meetings
-correspondence with other members of the committee, in particular Clive Aslet and Nicholas Long
-responses to articles written by Stamp and articles published in the Thirties Society Journal
-correspondence from members of the public asking to join the society; discussing various buildings; asking for architectural advice and offering services
-correspondence with other societies (e.g. Docomomo, The Concrete Society, The Victorian Society, The Decorative Arts Society, The Building Centre Trust)
-attendance at meetings
