Admin/Biog HistoryIn 1987 The Victorian Society and The Thirties Society published a report titled 'End of the Line?' The report was part of a campaign to stop damaging alteration work to 1920s and 1930s stations, it called for more conservation work, and discussed the work of London Regional Transport. The report attracted a lot of press attention, especially following the King’s Cross Fire. A copy of the report is available in the Paul Mellon Centre Library.
DescriptionThis file includes extensive material concerning Stamp's involvement with the Thirties Society's campaign regarding the London Underground, and the impact of the Fennell Inquiry report. It includes material related to his role as Chairman of the Thirties Society, as well as his roles as a journalist, and broadcaster.

Also includes material concerning M. Robbins' research into Baker Street Station.
