Title'King's College Chapel Cambridge'
Admin/Biog HistoryStamp's research into King's College Chapel span the whole of his career, starting with his research into Scott Junior. He also researched the Chapel for an article which was intended for Michael Jaffé's Festschrift, which was never published. However, Stamp's article was eventually published in Architectural History, Vol. 37.

Two candlesticks, designed by Scott Junior, that used to flank the altar were put up for sale by a dealer in January 2007 at Bonhams. Stamp was involved in trying to get them reinstated in the Church, or housed at the V&A.

The candles had been removed from the Chapel in the late 1960s to make room for Ruben's Adoration of the Magi. The decision to sell them was taken by the college in 2005 by the college's adornment committee, and they were put up for sale at Willingham Auctions.
