TitleMcMorran & Whitby
Admin/Biog HistoryStamp began researching the architectural firm McMorran & Whitby for an article which was published in Modern Painters in 1991. The article had been rejected by both the Architectural Review and Architects' Journal. Susan Beattie, McMorran's daugther helped Stamp with his research. This remained the only piece written on the firm until 2009.

Stamp was asked to write a publication for the Twentieth Century Society on the firm. Other individuals were working on a similar projects including Clare Sims, who had been asked by Mark Whitby to research his father, George Whitby. To avoid duplicating labour they considered co-authoring the book together. However, after a meeting held 29 Jun 2007, between Edward Denison, the grandson of McMorran, Stamp, Elain Harwood and Alan Powers, it was decided that Denison would write the book, with Stamp's help. Stamp worked with Deninson on the publication, writing up the buildings, and providing a foreword for the publication: Denison, E. (2009) McMorran & Whitby : twentieth century architects. London: RIBA Publishing. (Twentieth century architects).

In 2006 Stamp's McMorran & Whitby file went missing in the post. Clare Sims, had photocopies of the file, and provided copies of some of the lost material, as well as copies of material from her own file.
