In October 1999 Stamp took part in the conference 'Lutyens Abroad' held at the British School at Rome as co-chair. The conference discussed Lutyen's work outside of Britain. A publication of the conference was published in 2002, with Stamp as one of the editors: Hopkins, A. and Stamp, G. (eds.) For the publication Stamp wrote a complementary essay to Allan Greenberg's 'architectural appreciation' on the British Embassy in Washington, discussing the Lutyen's design and building of the Embassy commission. The publication also contains Stamp's lecture on 'Lutyens, New Delhi and Indian architecture'. |
