Admin/Biog HistoryStamp's research into the Lutyens was extensive, he researched the architect throughout his career for a variety of activities including scholarship, journalism, teaching, and exhibitions.

In October 1999 Stamp took part in the conference 'Lutyens Abroad' held at the British School at Rome as co-chair. The conference discussed Lutyen's work outside of Britain. A publication of the conference was published in 2002, with Stamp as one of the editors: Hopkins, A. and Stamp, G. (eds.) (2002) Lutyens abroad : the work of Sir Edwin Lutyens outside the British Isles. London: British School at Rome at the British Academy.

The publication also contains Stamp's lecture on 'Lutyens, New Delhi and Indian architecture'.
