| Admin/Biog History | In the 1970s Stamp was working at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), where he was working on the catalogue of the Scott family drawings, cataloguing the drawings of Scott Junior, Giles Scott and Adrian Scott; he wrote the biography of Scott Senior, and was responsible for the family tree and text on the Scott family.
Stamp's research into the family was extensive, and he continued to research the family throughout his career for a variety of activities including scholarship, journalism, campaigning, teaching and exhibitions. Stamp was also acquainted with members of the Scott family on a personal level, in particular Elisabeth Hoare (Betty) and Richard Scott (Dickie), with whom he often corresponded with concerning his research into the family. |
