Admin/Biog HistoryWatts and Co. is an architecture and interior design company founded in England in 1874, by George Frederick Bodley, Thomas Garner and Scott Junior. Elisabeth Hoare, granddaughter of Scott Junior, was the firm's Director from 1951-2001.

Stamp began researching Watts and Co. initially whilst undertaking his PhD, and continued to research the company between the 1980s-2000s for the publication: Stamp, G. (2002) An architect of promise: George Gilbert Scott Junior 1839-1897 and the late Gothic Revival. Donington, Spalding: Shaun Tyas, of which a whole chapter is dedicated to Scott Junior's work and involvement with the company.
DescriptionThis file includes material concerning Stamp's research into the history of the company Watts and Co., and their fabric, and wall paper designs; and correspondence, dated 25 Oct 1974-24 Feb 2001, concerning the location of, and information contained within, original documentation relating to Watts and Co, as well as a funeral pall designed by Scott Junior for Scott Senior's funeral.

Also includes material concerning Stamp's research on the Scott family, including Sebstian Scott and the King Sampson family.
