Richardson, The Detroit Institute of Arts, dated October 1951-March 1952, concerning the provenance, attribution and identity of the sitters in a group portrait of seven children said to be the children of the first Earl of Bolingbrooke in the Rothschild collection -letter from Arthur Vachell, Isle of Man, undated, concerning portraits of the Vachell family by various artists. On the verso is a letter from Waterhouse's mother, dated 16 August 1941, forwarding the enquiry to him. The letter also includes news of family and friends as well as information about a recent review of Waterhouse's Reynolds publication.
