TitleTate Bricks
Admin/Biog HistoryIn 2015, the BBC made a documentary to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Tate Gallery displaying the American sculptor, Carl Andre's (1935-) work of art, Equivalent VIII. The work, which comprised over one hundred fire bricks, became better known as The Tate Bricks, and caused a public outcry as they had been paid for from taxpayer's money at a time of economic depression.

Sewell was asked by the BBC to contribute to the one hour programme. He was interviewed and filmed at his London home on Friday 22 May 2015. The director of the programme was Clare Beavan and it was shown after Sewell's death as: Bricks! (2015). BBC4 2015.
