| Admin/Biog History | Peter Langan (1941-1988) was the founder of Langan's Brasserie. He had started writing a book about his life but only completed the first chapter and detailed synopses of all other chapters before his death. Sewell was a close friend of Langan and he was approached by Bloomsbury Publishing Limited to supplement the text, as they were keen to publish the book following the original structure planned by its author. It was published as Langan, P. (1990). A Life with Food. London: Bloomsbury Publishing PLC, and is illustrated with images of works of art Langan owned, including his favourite pieces by Hockney. |
