| Admin/Biog History | Zsuzsi Roboz (19292012) was a Hungarian born British based painter who specialised in portraits. She produced a series of portraits of British and Irish writers which were collectively known as Face to Face, completed in 2011. The intention of the series was not only to portray the writers and celebrate their work, but also to capture their creative aura. Sewell sat for Roboz and, in his autobiography 'Ousider II Always Almost : Never Quite' p.255, he stated that she created a 'portrait of me that disturbingly discerns something of my soul'. |
