Admin/Biog HistoryHenry Sigismund Oppé (1880-1915) was Oppé's brother, and a twin with Thomas Armin Oppé. Henry shared many of Oppé's academic interests, including an appreciation of art.

He died while fighting in Turkey during the First World War.
DescriptionIncludes seventy-three letters from Henry Oppé, dated between 8 January 1894-5 October 1906, concerning general family matters, schooling and descriptions of his travels in Britain and abroad. Many of the letters also include discussion about their shared interest in art.

Some of the earlier letters include notes from Thomas Oppé, Henry's twin brother (for further letters from Thomas, see: APO/9/40).
