The letters also include discussion about works by British artists in French collections, as well as other matters connected with relevant exhibitions and publications.
The file also includes a set of letters and invoices relating to various administrative matters undertaken by Oppé for Lemaitre. Primarily, this entailed sourcing photographs of works of art from various collections. Also included are two articles by Lemaitre, some research notes and some newspaper cuttings reviewing his published work on English watercolours [some of this material is in French].
