| Admin/Biog History | Reverend Dr C.J. Ball of Bletchington Rectory became acquainted with Oppé at the age of 69 when attempting to sell his collection of religious works of art. It is not certain how the meeting was first initiated, but the correspondence continued until at least 1922, and Oppé assisted in the sale of many the works. Ball passed away in 1924. |
