| Description | This series contains Armide's diaries, notebooks and sketchbooks.
The diaries mostly record matters relating to her social life while at Somerfield College, Oxford University, between 1930-1932 and capture some of the cultural, extracurricular activities that were happening in Oxford around that time. In particular, a wide range of concerts and plays are mentioned. The entries are infrequent but tend to be written in a more 'narritive' style rather than purely informational.
The notebooks contain notes on books she has read and, presumably aspects of her reading while at university. They also contains some of her own prose and poetry. |
