| Description | This sub-series mostly contains Valentine's diaries, dated between 1900-1951. While some earlier diaries have more 'narrative' content, the vast majority were used to record appointments and social occasions or include lists of attendees for events and to-do lists for social and household matters. Very occasionaly, these include matters relating to Paul Oppé's professional activities, however social engagements which included them both are recorded more frequently.

The diaries and associated notebooks were organised together into one chronological sequence for ease of access. |
