| Description | This file contains ninety-two letters from Valentine's son, Denys, dated between 25 January 1934-20 November 1942, early letters are written from Trinity College, Cambridge, concerning his progress both academically and socially, as well as some travel in Europe but from 1940 letters are written from the 4th Royal Berkshire Regiment stationed in France, and later Ireland, the 5th Divisional Headquarters (home forces), 148th Infantry Brigade and HQ in Lahore, India concerning Denys' various military roles during the Second World War.
Also includes a small photograph depicting Denys sat outside with three women. |
