| Admin/Biog History | Oppé was a collector and leading scholar on the artists, Alexander Cozens and his son, John Robert. Over the course of his life, he published several articles and assisted with the organisation of various exhibtions which helped to establish the artists' legacy and assert their significance within 18th century British art. This work culminated in a monograph on both artists which remains one of the most important works in the field.
