Admin/Biog HistoryDeanna and Guy Petherbridge spent three months in Ireland in 1977, they spent time living in Bray and then Dublin. Whilst in Ireland, Petherbridge was interested in Ireland's vernacular architecture, in particular water wheels.

She published her research in the article ‘Expressive Monuments of Industry and Order: Early Industrial Architecture in Ireland’, Architectural Design, Vol. 47, Nos. 11-12, 1977.
DescriptionThis volume includes research notes and sketches on the following:

-places (e.g. Syros; Carrick on Shannon; Ballymote; Sligo; Donegal; Limerick; Cork)
-buildings/sites (e.g. various mills and industrial buildings in Ireland)

It also includes research notes for Petherbridge's articles for Architectural Design, on vernacular architecture, and travel notes on names and addresses, and bibliographical references.
