TitleDrawing Master Classes
Admin/Biog HistoryIn 1998 art collector and philanthropist Thomas (Tom) Bendhem (1928-2002), donated money to the Royal College of Art (RCA) to help facilitate the practice of drawing from the live model, and to provide bursaries for students registered with the Centre for Drawing Research.

Petherbridge used part of this donation to organise a small series of 'celebrity' classes for the Drawing Studio which was run in association with the Fine Art department at the RCA, and called the International Drawing Workshops.
DescriptionThis file includes correspondence and publicity material concerning the planning of a series of drawing master classes sponsored by Thomas Bendhem, and organised by Petherbridge.

It also includes extensive correspondence with Thomas Bendhem concerning his relationship with the RCA, and sponsorship of drawing.
