| Admin/Biog History | Petherbridge applied for a PhD in painting at the Royal College of Art in Apr 1990. She was successful in gaining a place and proposed to study contemporary mural practice in Britain with reference to her own mural projects and in the context of a wider European and non-European historical tradition. She withdrew from the course in May 1991 after her negative experience undertaking a mural commission for the Birmingham Convention Centre. |
