Admin/Biog HistoryThe Art & Architecture Group was set up in 1982 to re-establish a platform for active collaboration between artists, architects, craftspeople, planners, the building industry and patrons of the arts. The Group was formed as a result of the Art & Architecture conference held at the ICA in February 1982.

After resigning from the Art & Architecture Action Group in December 1983, Petherbridge joined the steering group for the 'Art & Architecture - Code of Professional Practice'
DescriptionThis file includes correspondence and drafts relating to Petherbridge's involvement with the developement of the 'Art & Architecture - Code of Professional Practice'. It also includes correspondence with Theo Crosby concerning ''The Register of Artists & Craftsmen in Architecture'.

It also includes publicity material and ephemera relating to events organised by Art & Architecture, Art, Architecture and the Landscape Group, and Architectural Tours.

Of particular note:

-letter from Robert Breen, dated 21 Jul 1986, concerning Art in Partnership Scotland, and the use of Professional Indemnity certificates
-copy of letter from Richard Luce, Minister for the Arts, to C Martin, Honorary Chairman of Art and Architecure Ltd., dated 12 Jan 1987, concerning the groups proposal for a 1% levy on public building budgets for works of art
