| Admin/Biog History | Petherbridge was commissioned by the Harris Museum & Art Gallery to produce designs for the ceiling of the entrance to the museum building. The designs for the ceiling were displayed at an exhibition titled 'Drawing on a Wider World'' held 27 Jun-8 Aug 1987. The ceiling designs were displayed alongside the drawings exhibited in the Fischer Fine Art and British Council exhibition tour 'Temple and Tenements', and Petherbridge's designs for the ballet ' A Broken Set of Rules' which had been recently acquired by the gallery.
After the exhibition, the gallery decided that they did not want to proceed with the project becauae they did not feel that the design was suitable for the entrance to the museum because of its architectural theme. |
