Admin/Biog HistoryPetherbridge vsited India for the first time in 1979, her partner Guy bought her the ticket when they sepeated, along with a book on Indian drawings (C466/152, Deanna Petherbridge, Artists Lives, British Library).

The visit was a personal trip, and the experience inspired and influenced the works she produced for the exhibition 'India: Tombs & Temples at Angela Flowers Gallery, 1980.

Petherbridge's subtitle for this file was: 'Handnotes - tour of Orissa (Kapilas/Joranda'. [Odisha & Kapilash]
