| Admin/Biog History | After meeting Boey Yut Mei, President of the Culture Society, Singapore at 'The Primacy of Drawing: An Artist's View' exhibition in Sheffield, Petherbridge was invited to undertake a British Council lecture and exhibition tour to Singapore, in association with the Singapore Culture Society. The exhibition was called 'Drawing Allusions', and the tour was later expanded to include venues in Malaysia as well:

For the lecture tour Petherbridge spoke on the following topics Art & Architecture; Primacy of Drawing, Women in Art, and her own work, delivering lectures at art and academic venues in Singapore, Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

Petherbridge flew to Singapore on the 25 Oct 1994, and visited Penang (21-24 Nov), and Kuala Lumpur (25-28 Nov), before her return to London in early Dec 1994, she travelled with her friend Jane McAusland. |

The correspondence concerns the organisation and financial arrangement for the lecture and exhibition tour, including details of the framing and the shipping of works of art; insurance values; list of artworks included; and tour itineraires. The correspondence also relates to the working relationship between The Cultural Society and The British Council in both the UK and South East Asia.
