| Admin/Biog History | The Sun Houses (4,5,6 and 8) High and Over Estate, Station Road, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, were four private houses built by Amyas Connell (of Connell and Ward) in 1933-1935 for Bernard and Dorothy Ashmole and completed by the contractors, West and Musgrave. The Ashmoles had originally planned for thirty houses to be built on the estate where their house, High and Over, was situated but only four were done by Connell. Three of the houses completed were for Mr Charles de Peyer, a relative of Mrs Ashmole, and one house was built for Mr James MacGibbon. In 1979 all four houses were Grade II listed. |
