A collection of glass lantern slides belonging to Sir William John Thompson, the majority created [for him] by Thomas Holmes Mason. The slides are statistical in nature, dealing with Irish censuses, birth and marriage rates, and diseases frequency and mortality rates.

Richard Butcher Correspondence

Collection of letters written to surgeon Richard Butcher. The majority of the letters (1854-1857) relate to Butcher's publication on various aspects of surgery, but mainly on excision of the knee joint. It is clear from the letters that Butcher solicited information from other surgeons on their experience of excision as part of his research. Many of the letters contain notes on cases under the care of the author, as we as their views on surgery and/or Butcher's publications.

Report of fever cases in the Meath Hospital and Cork Street Fever Hospital

Bound volume containing manuscript case notes on fever patients treated in the Meath Hospital in the spring and summer of 1862, and patients in Cork Street Fever Hospital from March 1863. Notes were made by Campbell Fair while a medical student.
