| Description | Dr Steevens' Hospital Nurses Badge. Silver, fitted with a pin and suspension loop. At the centre on a background of dark blue is the emblem of the Good Samaritan. Above this, a white triangle with two birds on either side and a star at the apex. Around the edge on a pale blue background are the words: "Dr. Steevens Hospital Nurses League/Do Thou Likewise". On the reverse, the maker's mark "M&B"; hallmarked Birmingham, 1906; also stamped: "FOLEY/DUBLIN". |
