| Description | Contains bound volumes of quarterly bills in respect of goods and payments such as provisions, medicines, coals, chandlery, building and repairs, clothing, furniture, salaries, wages and incidentals. This is a complete run of bound volumes for the period from 1799 until 1974 with only four gaps in reporting as follows: 1821 until March 1876; June 1885 until September 1886; January 1925 until January 1928; and October 1943 until October 1948. The gap in reporting between 1821 and 1876 is met to a small extent by a file (RHD/2/2/2/22) containing a loose statement of quarterly bills for 1849 together with loose lists of bills for preceding quarters in 1845, 1847 and 1848. Covers of many of bound volumes are titled, 'Hospital for incurables bills for payment' and pages are pre populated with titles according to the goods regularly ordered. |
