Also contains particulars of expenses - referred to as the 'discharge' - under specific headings such as 'provisions', 'coals, soaps and candles', 'clothing', 'rents', 'furniture and repairs', 'medicines', 'contingencies', 'salaries and wages'. Statements variously include names of suppliers of provisions, governors and staff. Contains largely manuscript 'true copy' statements and original bound statements to a lesser extent. |
