DescriptionLarge blue glass bottle with glass stopper. Label says "Blood Purifying Mixture. For purifying the blood and cleansing the skin and system from all impurities. It will not only cleanse the Blood, but enrich it, and thereby restore a healthy hue to the Skin, and give tone and vigour to the system. Dose. - For an Adult, one table-spoonful, in a little water, three times a day. For Children, on or two tea-spoonfuls. Prepared by W. Willis, Chemist and Druggist, 57, Upper Dorset-st., Dublin. (Late of Messrs. Mc.Master, Hodgson, & Co.). A handwritten label above it says "Shake the Bottle". The bottle is empty but this mixture was often iodised sarsaparilla, a vine-like plant native to North America and the West Indies and has a long history as a component of medicinal tonics, especially blood purifiers.
