TitleDoctor's Bag
Date1925-1975
DescriptionThis Doctor's Bag belonged to Dr Peter McGuinness. It is made of brown cowhide, with metal fixtures, and a cowhide handled on the top of the case. On the right side, there is a locking flap that opens to a compartment divided into two sections. The front has two metal locs, but the keys are missing.
A metal fixture on the left side holds the lid up and back, keeping the bag open, whereas the one on the right is missing. Inside, the case is lined with canvas and it has cotton lining, with several pockets, which is removable thanks to the bottons.

Both the exterior and the interior of the case shows small signs of wear and tear. The metal fixtures have some corrosion, particularly the flap latch. The interior lining is stained from the corroding metal buttons, affecting the pockets, slots, and flat parts of the lining.
