| Description | This is a metal mucus extractor , with a rounded middle chamber, which is divided into two sections that are push fit. The proximal end of extractor curves toward the tip, which has one small fenestrations at the end. The other end is the introducer, bulbous-shaped, where the tube would fit. On the chamber "Fannin Dublin Made in England" is engraved. This type of extractor was used or the removal of mucus from newborn infants. The chamber contained either cotton or wool to absorb excess overflow of fluid/mucus. |
