TitleBozeman's Uterine Catheter
Date1900-1949
DescriptionThis uterine flushing catheter is the Bozeman's type. It is a slender metal tube, gently curved at both ends in opposite directions.
The catheter is composed of a metal tube and a detachable tip by twisting the bolt.
The rounded detachable tip features two longitudinal ports on the side positioned at different points, and one oval port at the end toward the bolt.
At the opposite end of the catheter, there is one ring, designed to hold it securely, a small oval port, and a bulbous-shape spike for insertion into a flush pouch. Here are engraved "4" and "42".
This type of catheter was commonly used for treatment and prevention of uterine infection through uterine lavage.
Some discoloration and stains are present.
