| Description | These forceps are Bozeman's type. They have a scissor shape and an S-shape profile, and a locking mechanism between the finger rings.
The jaws are joined together, and each jaw has a closed oval fenestration.
They are chrome-plated, as suggested by the engraving "Chrome" as well as the number "36" engraved above the joint on the interior aspect of the stems of the handles.
Moderate corrosion is present predominantly around the middle screw-joint, as well as around the locking mechanism. Some of the plating is missing along the interior aspect of one of the jaws by the screw-joint.
They are still used during surgeries for carrying swabs and drapes. |
