DescriptionMetal dental elevator. Handle is flat, with the end being slightly flared. A minor ridge separates the handle from the head of the instrument. Head is narrow and curved outwards. The very tip of the head has two minor pointy projections. Dental elevators are used in tooth extractions. They can be used to loosen teeth prior to forcep extraction in case such as impacted or compromised teeth. They work by leveraging the tooth in order to dislodge it from its socket. There is no manufacturer's mark present.
