DescriptionThis is a tenaculum forceps. The item has a scissor-like appearance with a screw joint, two finger rings at the handle, and a ratchet mechanism to secure the grip. It features a slender, pointed hook at the tip. Made of stainless steel, as stamped on one shaft. On the other, ‘Smith & Sheppard’ and ‘Germany’ are engraved. Part of the Dr Diarmuid O’Driscoll Collection.
