| Description | The black faux-leather case consists of a hinged lid with a sliding locking pad. It has a plastic black label covering gold text (only "A" is revealed) with "Bernard Silke" embossed in white.
Upon opening, it reveals the lid, covered in blue silk, and the compartments where the instruments are stored, in blue velvet. At the corner of the case, "Made in England" is printed in gold ink. The set includes: a black-coated metal handle with a screw lid on one end, revealing the compartment designed to accommodate a battery, and the screw-in tip where the attachment would fit. The handle features a sliding white button engraved with "OFF." The attachments consist of an otoscope head with a magnifying lens and a light for examining the ear canal and eardrum, along with three different-sized black metal push-fit heads. There is also a spare light bulb, still wrapped in its tissue paper.
Additionally, the set includes an angled light, two laryngeal mirrors, and an adjustable speculum with a screwing mechanism. The otoscope and the handle tip are engraved with "Gowlland Made in England." Beneath the handle, a small white paper label says in red ink to remove the battery to prevent corrosion of the handle. |
