TitleStoppered Drop Bottle
Date1900-1949
DescriptionThis is an empty bottle. It appears as a clear glass, graduated bottle with a heart-shaped stopper, featuring a spout on the side of the tip and a tiny fenestration on the bottle neck. The stopper features an embossed “6”, whereas the bottom has “S&Co. K”. On one side of the bottle body, there is an engraved scale of “DMRS” ranging from “0” (top) to “32” (bottom).

Also called TK pattern, this type of bottle was used to contain anaesthetics, and by aligning the stopper’s slot with the channel in the bottle’s neck, the solution could be poured out drop by drop.
