DescriptionThis is a set of Hypodermic Needles by maker "Henry Milward & Sons". It is composed of a box with a lifting opening, consisting of a case on which there are three labels. The first label has golden writings: "Trade Vim Regd Mark" "One Dozen Firth-Brearley Stainless Steel Hypodermic Needles" " Record fitting", "Henry Milward & Sins, Redditch, England. Made in England". The second one "sole agents for GT Britain and the British Empire excluding Canada. Chas F Thackray Ltd. Park St. Leeds & 38 Welbeck St. London, WI". The third one on the opening side "12 VIM Hypodermic Needles Made in England | Record fitting 19".
When opening the box, there is a cardboard plate to hold the needles, with fitted slots for 12 needles (but only 4 present) with black ink writing "Trade Vim Reg Mark Firth-Brearley Stainless Steel Henry Milward & Sins, Redditch, England. Made in England". Underneath the removable cardboard tray, there is a set of needles cleaning wires secured with a red string.
The inner part of the lid has a black ink writing"ANNOUNCEMENT. For the manufactured Hypodermic Needles in Great Britain the right of using Stainless Steel of the composition defined in the Bearley Patents supplied by Steel Makers licensed by the Firth-Brearley Stainless Steel Syndicate Ltd. is reserved to the Amalgamated Dental Company Ltd., London, and they have granted a Sub-licence for such use in the manufacture of "VIM" Hypodermic Needles to HENRY MILWARD & SONS REDDITCH ENGLAND".
Each needle is push fit, and has engraved "19" on the tip. One needle is missing from the push-fit tip. The lining of the box is decorated with a red faux leather theme.
The enveloping cardboard is broken on the labeled side.
