DescriptionBlue cardboard cylindrical tube containing a glass diabetes urinometer - consisting of three portions. In the upper portion, there are measurements from 0 to 60, written in paper with black ink along with the letters "W", "S" and "H", and the writing "Diabetes.". The middle portion is oval and hollow. The lowest portion is globular, where the liquid mercury is and acts as a weight. The hydrometer was used to measure the specific gravity of liquids - in this case- urine to test for diabetes. No manufacturer's mark present.
The urinometer is in good condition, while the cardboard tube presents some scratches, not relevant for conservation.
