DescriptionThis is a mucus extractor, made of nickel-plated metal. It is a catheter composed of a long, narrow metal tube with a curvature towards the tip. The tip is blunt and fenestrated, and the shaft features a collection chamber to contain mucus, which can be detached via a push-fit and locking mechanism.

Based on the models presented by Fannin (1926:233), it is the Solomons' type.

Signs of corrosion on the plate are visible.
