| Description | Metal rectangular case containing aspiration apparatus belonging to Dr Bewley, as marked on the lid. Inside, lined with cloth, are a metal and glass graduated syringe with India rubber tubing (one piece fragmented), four push-fit hypodermic needles of varying sizes, and a glass ampoule. The kit would originally have included cannulae and trocars. Used for pneumothorax therapy, it was donated by Dr Mary Martin. |
