| Description | Copy book containing a manuscript draft of an account of Donough Macnamara's time as a medical student in the Mater Hospital between 1914 and 1919. This account was published as 'The Mater 1914-1919' in the Journal of the Irish Medical Association, November 1961. The account contains Macnamara's recollections of the hospital's medical and nursing staff, his duties and the kind of patients treated, he closes the account with a discription of the hospital during Easter Week 1916.
